Beaded Zipper Pull

This month Valerie made a beaded zipper pull for her purse after her original pull broke off.  She used a few jump rings and decorative beads to complete this look.

Owl Canvases

For my project this month I made a couple of digital owl prints (to be put on 16x20 canvases) for my sister Kate's baby girl's nursery.  I used Adobe Photoshop Elements as usual and a combination of elements from different designers.

Towel Hangers

This month Kelly made some towel hangers out of antique door knobs and back-plates.  She was inspired by her friend that did the wall by her front entry door all of door knobs.  Here is that inspiration picture:
For hers, Kelly removed the door knobs from the spindle, found a short bolt to screw into the spindle and then it was secured to the back plate.  The whole things was then mounted on the wall using screws (EZ Anchors) through the back plates.

Color Run T-shirts

Erin, Gail and a bunch of others are signed up to do the Color Run in October!  So to get ready they used heat transfer to spiffy up their white shirts and several of their team member's shirts for the big day.  The shirts that people turned in were all a bit different so they each ended up being slightly different.  But all the shirts say "Color Me!" and then "Missed a spot . . ." somewhere on them.  Should be a fun day.

Color Bag and Pipe Cleaner Crown

Vicki made a big sister gift for a relative.  She sewed a crayon bag, handy for carrying all your crayons and coloring books.  Also she made a quick and easy crown out of pipe cleaners to go with it.

Cupcakes and Pacifier Emergency Box

So yall had so many cute new baby items this month it got me to thinking I should do something crafty for my next upcoming baby shower.  My brother and sister in law just found out they are having a boy so I got on good ole pinterest and decided to make some cupcake onesies!  I made them using 4 receiving blankets, 4 onesies, 4 candles, 4 coffee filters, ribbon, and lots of rubber bands.  I also stumbled upon the pacifier picture on pinterest and decided to throw in the pacifier emergency case using a small shadow box.  Hopefully they like it!

Sibling Gifts

Today a friend of Erin and Gail's had their 3rd baby boy.  So they made some gifts. . .
These are the front of the shirts: "Biggest Brother," "Big Brother," and "Baby Bro."
The back of the shirts: "I'm the Oldest, I Make the Rules."  "I'm in the Middle, I'm the reason we have rules." and "I'm the Youngest, the rules don't apply to me."
Then Baby Finn got a whole set of onesies for himself: "Chick Magnet" "The New Favorite", "A Rob and Jen Production," and "This is how I Rock . . . . And Roll (on the tushie)"

Ladybug Girl!

This month Vicki made her Granddaughter a red glittery tutu that she can use to dress up as Ladybug Girl (we love these books!) for Halloween.  The skirt had a bottom layer of old bridesmaid's dress fabric (thanks Amy!) and the top layer was glitter tulle.

Organization

My 4 year old helped with this. I cut pockets and inserts out with my Silhouette. She decorated the pockets. On each insert, we made a daily to do list on one side for her and the other for me. Hopefully it will help all of us stay focused and motivated in our crazy, busy lives.

SMASH

I've thought the SMASH journals looked fun for a while but I'm not much of a journal writer. My oldest started all day, everyday preschool and after a few days of comments and stories, I knew I had a great journal to write each day! It is fun to hear her stories and hopefully this will get me over the journal slump! Plus, the products are quick and easy to use!

Big Brother and New Baby Shirts

I have a friend with two boys who are into superheros and they just became big brothers to a little sister this week.  I made each of the boys a shirt.  Instead of the "S" in Superman I used the first initial from his name.  I used Superman font from DaFonts.com for the letter "T".  For the Batman shirt I took the logo and added "Big Brother" to it.  I just received glitter heat transfer today and was super eager to try it out.  What better way to use pink glitter than on a baby girl's shirt?  I used it for the cape, the "R" initial and for the lettering on her other onesie.  I was really excited with the way they turned out.  I hope they liked their shirts!
